Josh, one of our local SR customers wanted to have an extra tranny for his SR just in case.
He bought the front bell housing case from us at www.silviastuff.com (http://www.silviastuff.com) and brought me a KA tranny.
I took them apart for him and made an SR tranny for him. I have included some photos. To make it simpler, you don't need to take it as far apart as I did. You only need to take the bell housing off the tranny and change them. When you take the bolts out of the back part of the tranny that go through the metal plate and then into the bell housing, the bell housing can come off. You can leave the metal still connected to the aluminum back part. There are some dowel pins that make it fit tight. Also, you need to take some components off the inside of the bell housing around the output shaft, etc. that are somewhat self-explanitory. These 4 photos should help some. There is a c clip around the output shaft and I think another one behind that plate that you will see. I think all the bolts are 12mm head.
Make sure that you use grey RTV as a sealant to complete.
It might take you about 2 hours at most if you are slow and careful.
