Here is a copy of some emails back and forth from this guy that wants an exhaust from us. If he is in purchasing, he must do his job well.
It's amuzing to us when people get rude when they don't get their way.
You need to read it from the bottom to the top as I copied the last email which includes all the correspondence.
I also love how he somehow throws the SR20forum in there out of no-where, as if that automatically means "butthead"

Jason, i'm very sorry i upset you. it's clear you have a lot of pride and are not willing to my claim into consideration.. i'm not going to do any leg work for you because of the challenging attitude you are giving me.. when relations take this sort of turn i usually just pull back . when i was younger i didn't. i learned a while ago that when people act like you it's best to just not entertain them.. so i won't..

RE: hks exhaust
No I am not
I am saying that one of my employees put it on the site and guessed at a price based upon the review of the market.
Their review, based upon your findings was wrong. It probably won’t sell at $400 if you can buy them new for $380. I find it odd that you buy them at that price as I wonder why you would buy more than one.
They are telling me that retail is something like $600……….so they discounted it $200.
It probably won’t sell and we will lower the price later this year to move it.
Either way, give me 2 links to where it is $380. I bet you can’t.

like i said i buy used for less $ so i might as well buy new so i know the baffles in the muffler are perfect.. not really sure about the lure of discontinued merchandise but can only guess it has something to do with the sr20forum tude... :)

Jason, if the hks exhaust is for the b13 i'm interested.. I've seen new ones for $380 so you'd have to do better than $400.. Also, i need it shipped to NY..
I am thinking around $250... I bought a used one once before for $200..
thanks,

I followed up my email to him with this email.
************************************************** ******
I don’t understand what you are saying. I have no pride in a used item that is listed on a sister site of ours. It’s done as a courtesy to one of our NJ customers to help sell an item for him so that he can trade us for some seats.
I take you as having the challenging nature. In not so many words, you have claimed that we are over charging for an item with hints that it is cheaper other places……….and in an insulting fashion. I have asked you on more than one occasion to show us those locations. It has nothing to do with doing work for us or having you exercise your energy instead of ours. It has to do with backing up your challenge.
Something like this COULD HAVE OCCURRED from you and this would have possibly gotten the result that you wanted………..although, for some reason, I think the result that you wanted was a conflict.
Here’s goes:…………….
Hey Jason, I see that exhaust that you have for sale……..and cute dog by the way. I know that other places have that exhaust for sale for cheaper than you have it listed and they have them new. Is that a typo?
(my comeback) not sure, I think that price is right, let me check…………….yes
Oh, well, thanks anyway……………………..oh, you may want to know that it IS cheaper new other places
(my comeback) we checked and you are right, HKS sells that exhaust retail for $400, so we can do about $260 on it…………sorry
OK, ……..does that include shipping to me?
(my comeback) no, shipping to NY is $29
I’ll think about it…………thanks!
That’s it see, that is easy………………not challenging, accusatory, and insulting…………… Andrew, you may not even realize it, but in your first email, you actually TELL me what to do, you don’t ask, you instruct me on what I have to do then, when you don’t get answers that you like, you get even worse.
That may work for Bedbath, but it normally doesn’t work in most parts of this country.
Calm down, the world is not against you
Relax
Smile more

Well, I am having a good weekend. To my surprise, he turned out to be OK.
He responded with this:
Jason, thank you for your explanation and I see your side of things.. I was very curt, short and straightforward.. I had the expectation that I'd get a used hks for less than new and expected you to believe me and come back with an offer..
I did like the dog pic but didn't mention it in the email to you.. Made me realize my chocolate lab needs to go the beach because he's the other dog that actually goes in the water..
I poked you back twice..
1. came back with sr20forum attitude when you said I nyc attitude..
2. came back with how the sites are selling discontinued if it really is discontinued..
I want you know, I'm sorry, I actually did engage with you at those points and then later on tried to back out.. I'm sorry..

Wow, it really surprised me that he actually ended up acting how he should have. I sent him a thank you email and said that the "sr20forum" attitude is not funny and is ruining this industry.
