Hi guys,

What do you think of that dyno?

Nissan Primera P11-144 @ SR20VE
Performance mods: N1 Cams, N1 intake manifold, N1 throttle body, R33 MAF, 20V exhaust manifold, 3'' exhaust, Greddy MSS, B13 ECU with dauthertboard tuned by SRC (me).

Ask me a questions if you have. I want to listen your opinion.

Regarding dyno machine. I don't know its brand. It shows "flywheel power", but I don't think it is flywheel power. I know stock Honda S2000 (240hp) show only 218hp on this dyno.

It's odd. We have a customer in Switzerland or somewhere and he was discussing dyno's with us as well. For some reason, alot of European and such dyno's don't seem to give "at the wheels" numbers which seems odd to me.

With that said, it's hard to say what numbers are low or high because the spectrum is so different than what we would compare it to.

So...........besides the top number...............

What I did find odd is that you don't really see "when" the cams kick on. When do they?

The cams kicks in at 4500 both.

The cams kicks in at 4500 both.

wow..........ok, now I see it, so when they kick in, you dropped in torque and HP

hum........

no, the torque dropped higher, at 5500.

I have dynoed each cam kicked at 2500 separately, two cams kicked at 2500, also 2 cams doesn't kicked at all (at low lobes all the time). I have chosen the most effective torque curve, by choosing the cross-point of 2 best torque curves to kick cams in.

I think it is problem of N1 cams found here. It's too early for N1 high lobes to kick in, but the low lobes so small for 2.0 engine to deliver proper volume of air higher than 4500. My concern is low lobe must be something compared to 20V low lobe, so it must be much bigger than n1 low lobe.

Jason, can you post VE dynos of your customers here to compare?

BTW, what power rating of stock Honda S2000 dynoed on your dyno?

We have not had anyone dyno a VE yet.

The S2000 was much lower than he thought. We will have to wait until tomorrow before we can scan it as the dyno building is locked.

Did you scanned S2000 dyno?

bad copy :(((

Anyway, too low for S2000 I think.

it was 128 torque and 185 HP
It's tricky scanning stuff and putting it on this forum. Sometimes it does good and sometimes it doesn't.

S2000 cars are marketing cars for Honda, they are not what they claim...those numbers are not low. It's a 2Liter factory motor made for secretaries to drive around and think they are fast.
