Hello All! My name is JT. I recently replaced the Altenator on my bossted 200sx and took it out for a drive. When I got back I noticed a small oil leak. I jacked the car up and got under it and got hit between the eyes with a drop of oil. I looked up to see that it was coming from right above the passenger axle where the bracket goes into the block. I think I loosened it moving the oil line while putting in the Altenator.

I'm a boost virgin so what do I need to do? Take the oil line offf and screw the bracket into the block? A lil help would be great! Thanks in advance.......JT!

do you have different oil lines? all mine are braided and i have a oil pressure gauge so mine screw in with teflon tape. if you have the stock lines only on the det you will have the metal lines with two brass washers. lol make sure all bolts are tightened properly.

JT,

This might be what it is.

You had us install the turbo kit on your car. We obtained the oil for the turbo from the oil sending unit location.

You also had us install the oil pressure gauge. We went to the same source.

We had to use a 3-T so supply oil to all the ports. I was worried that over time, the added weight of the fittings and sensors might make that piece weak. Look for this under the motor and see if that is leaking. If it was my car, I would not use the factory oil sending unit.........as its only function is to turn the idiot light on in your dash. I would take our T fittings and only use your aftermarket oil sending unit and our turbo line and call it a day.

When you are done, zip tie that stuff up so it's not easy to move

If that is not leaking..........then disregard

I think that's what it is, the fitting has teflon tape on the left, the steel braided line coming out of the top, and the right side goes into the block, that's what is leaking the right side that goes into the block.

So I should remove this peice altogether? I'm gonna take to my boys shop soon and put it on the lift.

might just be too much weight for that fitting..........just scrap the factory oil sending unit, run the line from the left and the sendor from the bottom

or......... the cool way is to use a steele braided line from the block........and run it up to the fire wall and then put a 3T in it and run all three from it

Finally got a warm day so I got under the car to fix the problem and as soon as I touch the fitting, IT SNAPS!!! Broke right off into the block. Now I gotta tow it to my boys shop and get it up in the air to fix it...

I'd do my second suggestion.

Got it fixed, I ditched the stock unit, and ran another fitting, when ahead and did the brake upgrade while it was up in the air. Everything is good now and it's running strong!
