I wanted to know the pro and cons on a cable operated clutch and a hydraulic operated clutch.

In our opinion, if your car started out as a cable, keep it cable.

Well my B13 currently has a cable clutch but the SR20 gearbox is a hydraulic. My mechanic told me that it would as easy as mounting the slave cylinder in the appropriate location. I've had opportunities to get SR20 LSD Cable clutch gearboxes but was told that cable clutch boxes are obsolete and the cables tend to wear much quicker with HP increases. Plus the cable clutch boxes are not so foot friendly when performance clutches and PP's are installed.

I disagree with the masses on the issue of the cable stretching.......and that is what the adjustment is for.

Also, changing to a master cylinder for your car is harder than changing the arm to cable on the tranny.

I run a 4 puck non-sprung clutch that we don't traditionally sell with my cable.

That holds up good under increased HP and torque?
