I have been around the internet and back trying to find the most cost efficient way of converting the drum brakes on my 1993 B13 to discs. I've seen those conversion kits that cost an arm & leg but what are the pros and cons of this conversion kit? On the other hand there is the option of getting the whole rear beam. However its a lot more bulky than the conversion kit and shipping would be a bit more difficult. What do you think is the best option? If you're leading towards the conversion, what's the best brand you recommend and the cost. If you're leading towards the rear beam, where can I find one and the cost.

These are the main parts that you will need:
Rear SE-R Calipers and brackets
Rear B13 rotors
Rear B13 brake Pads
Rear Brake Lines (you can use stock or just go ahead and get the JGY SS ones)
Emergency Brake Cable
SE-R Brake Master Cylinder
Rear B13 Spindles

Most if not all can be obtained either from a junk yard or somewhere on the internet. As for the actual install of it all that is outside of my experience as I haven't done it, but I am sure the guys at JGY can help you out.

Thanks much man. I'm gonna do some searching around to see if I can get those pieces. Perhaps somebody may have those pieces available and willing to help someone get their build on the way.

Well I struck gold; I was able to put my hands on a Pulsar RNN14 shell. I'm going to use the full suspension from this car on my B13. Only issue I have now is......I need a hub for the driver's side (RHD) and a pair of rotors & calipers. The ones on the car are shot.

That honestly doesn't sound super helpful to your cause of upgrading your brakes...

Just do up the whole car with Wilwoods you can't go wrong they're great.

Well for my budget build it is more convenient. I got a whole Pulsar shell for half the money those willwood big brakes cost. I get a full pulsar interior and suspension...it was a deal i just couldn't pass. Maybe later on when I accumulate the funds I can invest in some willwoods or ap's.

Below are some pics of the donor car for my B13 build. I'll be using the interior and suspension pieces from this car.

Here's a little update, its been a while but progress has been slow.

As the title says, I'm in desperate need of a pair of NX2000/B13 SE-R knuckles/hubs & radius rods/torque arms. This is to facilitate in my rear disc conversion. Unfortunately the RNN14 (Pulsar) and B13 radius rods/torque arms won't work on the B13. The only things I would be able to use from the RNN14 rear knuckle/hub assembly are the rotors and calipers.
