I was thinking about upgrading my OEM fuel pump. What are your opinions on the Walbro 255 pump? And after installing one, are there any others changes that need to be done? (ECU, injectors, etc.)

Although we would like to sell you one, realistically, unless your stock pump can not handle or keep up with it's demands, you don't need one.
For you, being NA (normally aspirated) your factory FPR (fuel pressure regulator) should keep your fuel pressure at about 36psi at idle and when you go to WOT, (wide open throttle), you might see a psi of about 37 to 38. If your pump is able to supply enough fuel for that..........then you are ok.
If you wanted to ad something, I would suggest an in cabin fuel gauge first.
For example, in my blue B13, when I did the turbo upgrade, I left my factory fuel pump in there. My gauge told me that all was fine. But when I up'd my boost level to 16psi, my pump could not keep up with the demand and I changed it.
Your pump SHOULD be good for about 230hp or so. But to answer your question, no you would not need to upgrade your ecu or anything if you did change your pump.

Thanks so much for the info, its really helpful. I forgot to add a few other things. My ignition timing its cranked up as far as it can go (turning the distributor cap) and I'm running on 93 octane. will the fuel pump make any difference then? A few of my nissan buddies said that if my timing is up, then I might want to do some fuel modifications to compensate for that. So idk, what other fuel mods could I do? (Specifically ones that I can do without doing anything to the ECU)

1. your suite pants make you look short
2. hope your timing isn't too far advanced
3. glad you are running 93 with your timing
4. the fuel pump should make no difference
5. there isn't really any fuel things you could do or need to because of changing ignition
you are good to go

I see. Well I'm just trying to think of a few more mods I can do. trying to get some more HP out of the motor. Running out of ideas. Thanks for your help though. If you have any suggestions for some power adders for a GA16DE let me know. Not going turbo yet though.

Na man no nitrous for me. That kills the motor. Water/Meth injection was a thought, but the new AEM system runs with boost pressure. When a certain amount of boost kicks in then the system spays the water/meth mixture into the intake. I don have a turbo........yet, so thats no good either.
Any ideas on cams, ECU tunes, bigger throttle bodies, or pulleys?

1. cams will give you power
2. ecu will give you more power
We added AEM's water kit our our Tow Truck, Old Big Rig. It's a nice kit and well instructed too!

The AEM water/meth ijection kits are amazing. Adds close to 90 hp to an EVO on higher boost. But there is no point for me to get one now because I have an NA motor.
So, cams.......best place to get them and price?
ECU.......best place to get one and price?
I guess if I get an ECU I might as well get a JGY fuel rail and bigger injectors.

I got a walbro 255 fuel pump on my sentra and it does fine. I don't know if I have the right fuel pressure regulator, but i know for sure my gauge is messed up.
It stays at 20psi when the car is off but when it's running it's at like 62 so i hope its just 20psi off.
When i adjust the fuel pressure the gauge doesn't move and when i give it gas it doesn't do anything different... except when i floor it when the idle is all the way down and it floods for a second then revs up fine.
but anyway your fuel pressure should be around 36-42psi.
Correct me if i'm wrong lol i like to learn

It sounds like you need to fix your gauge first to see where your at. We carry prosport gauges and they are an inexpensive but quality gauge....give us a call
