Well seems as though my tale of woe continues. Took the head off my engine in prep to put on the Cometec Head gasket, while awaiting the arrival of a head gasket set and timing components from Napa. I received my package from them yesterday and to my absolute horror, every part in the box except for one seal is wrong! Tack on another week to my rebuild and 10 points to my blood pressure. Lucky for Napa their customer service was closed when I got home, as was every Napa store around.
I managed to get a return authorization from the customer support line (finally) and returned the parts today. Back to Autozone I go for the correct parts and more helpful people.
On a positive note my new gauges arrived, so I have some electrical work ahead of me this weekend, as long as my new pillar pod arrives soon. Still awaiting other bits and pieces here and there, to include a vacuum block (Sorry Nathan saw it in your photos and thought it was a good idea, so I ran with it, lol) to help neaten up my engine bay some more.
