My car has been recently overheating. I can drive around for like 30 minutes before it gets hot. So I went out and bought a koyo radiator with two 12" electric fans, cometic headgasket, and a nismo thermostat, and had them all installed. I havent checked the water pump yet. I was just wondering if timing has anything to do with the problem. And if so, what do you guys set the timing at. Any help would be great, because I need to get back out there and show the domestic cars down here whats up.

What turbo do you have and where is it mounted? top or bottom?

This rarely seems to occur to our customers, but .............I had this problem with a Koyo and 2 fans and a bottom GT2871

turns out that the fans I was using were not enough and they were set up for temporary use

that is when we switched to the new fan kit we sell. They are continuous use fans (means that they can run always and not over heat but that doesn't mean that you are supposed to wire them for that) and I designed and use that JGY Turbo Heat shield.
AFter all that...........no more problems.

p.s. I wanted to add that we are talking about FWD Sentras here.......info for other cars is a little different

I have a disco potato bottom mounted, the jgy manifold and heatshield, I put the fans in front of the koyo (no a/c) and made them pushers. I also wired the to a switch so they are always on. Would the jgy turbo heatshield help me?

make sure to check and see if both hoses are hot after the car warms up all the way. and if they are i dont know if you can take the cap off and look at the bubbles in the water to wee if the water is flowing or not( make sure you let the hott pressure out first), but if the hoses are both hot then the thermostat should be good. are you using water or 50/50? and i would go with the jgy heat shield jason is really good at what he does.

I have like a 60% coolant and 40% water mix along with the royal purple additive. I have checked the hoses and it seems like both get hot. Would I have to take the turbo off to put on the heatshield?

if you have a GT28R up to a GT3076R and got it from us.........no

I designed it to be installed without taking the turbo off It also comes with instructions.
