Have you guys noticed how Super Street has been getting "dirtier"?
Let's skip all the girls and nudity..................
but the constant references to sex, and genitals and homosexualness.......
Feb 2008 issue
Skip all the ads, and go to the 3rd page of the real magazine......page 22 and there is a picture of a genital pump and the editor talks about getting an erection after seeing a man at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Go a couple pages more into it, and find page 25 describing different people at the mag and different contributors to see them talk about lesbians, dirty deeds and sex videos.
Page 28 mentions "launching the brown rocket" and "wiping their bottoms".
Page 37 is titled "Quickie, Get off in two Pages"
I'm only into the magazine a quarter of the way. It keeps going and going. We advertise in this magazine, too.
Is it funny? Am I just different than most? I find that the target market would not find it very amusing. I also know that the "producers" of the magazine are not 17 years old, so what is going on here?
I'm 32 or 33 years old (I know) and I don't find this funny at all. I don't get these magazines for free to read them and keep seeing barely clothed girls and references to filth over and over.
I'm all for humor and teasing and different tastes........but it seems like it's getting old. It's not just Super Street either. Many magazines are hitting this trend. Is it that some of the European style of magazines is trickling over here? Or am I just OLD?
