good or bad?

just looking around on ebaymotors and came across this 240 a guy is selling in FL. I've never seen this setup for an intercool before.....he has it mounted out in front of his bumper? is that really all that smart? I would think that having it that exposed would cause a lot of damage with all the depris that is on the road. but i guess in some ways he wanted to be different and not have the norm intercooler mount setup. I dunno, check it out. he definitely put a lot of work and time into it.

well that just seems like a waste of money right there to me....why spend the extra money on fab work to have the pipes that far away from the turbo? i know a little about turbos and isnt the whole idea of the intercooler is to keep cool air going into the turbo? and with this setup it seems like the air has plenty of time to warm back up with the amount of traveling it has to do through all the piping! i guess what i'm trying to say is, if your gonna build a car like this, build it for best performance possible and not for blowing money on something that posses a good chance of needing to be replace in a couple of years just cuz you wanna be "unique". dont get me wrong, i got plans for my 240, but nothing to which i'm gonna need to replace something due to my "uniqueness" (<<<spelling?? or is it even a word?? i tried)

It kinda reminds me of those guys that have the "cut outs" in their bumpers that shows the whole IC. The only difference to me, this car has the piping exposed. Looks more like a show car to me. Im not gonna hate on him, his car looks better than mine...for now.

im late on this one, the car itself is pretty nice, for the price i would buy it and just put the intercooler where it belongs once it was mine.
