Well..............

As some of you know, our drag car has been used to test products that we have built......

Well, we did quite a test today.

We are running a Bluebird motor in our 92 Sentra with a dog box tranny. With the JGYBB37 (aka the now known GT3076) we were limited to 20psi. The turbo would simply not boost more than that.............until now

Now we run a 120 wet shot on this intake, but it was not TURNED ON, and we got 27psi before I backed off! NO NOS, NO NOS

Dyno shows 701 ft/lbs of torque. Yes, you read that right.
That's not accurate, we think........ The boost shot up so fast that I think we lost a little traction and experienced some boost blow out.

We are running 24.5's on the wheels and were concerned about the slicks touching the fenders.......I think the straps let the car walk. I backed out at about 7grand on the tach, but the dyno showed 6125. I think the spark blew out and tricked the dyno........but the boost guaging is mechanical and.........27 is awesome from 20

In this rare case, I think I'll have to either run spring spacers or change to factory tires so we can strap this beast down more.

The 27psi is dead on, though. Point of this is this........... The JGY intake manifold allowed us to go from 20psi to EASILY 27psi. This is probably about 100HP difference or more on a 2L SR.

As Garland put it something like this........."The Olympics may be great, but I just saw history today at JGY"

I think we found something here. We will be dynoing Mario's car soon. It's listed on the Project car page. He's running the same GT3076 that our drag car is. I think his factory manifold will be limiting his boost. We shall see soon. If so........we know what the solution will be.

That is awesome. Even better if Mario's pull shows similar gains.

well jason knows me well enough that if the test shows that the custom manifold shows a great peak over the stock one i will have him make me onw and these will need to go into production! the parts are hard to come by BUT, jason should be able to get something going for the fwd guys. or we can put a set of the itb's off the gtir and see which one out performs the other and again if the jgy manifold is still on top i will post like a crazy tall guy that can't handle a bad wire tuck until i get one!!! what i mean is we should get the word out not only to help out jgy but to benifit ourselvs as well. jason and garland will be making video's with SOUND of my 98 se-r aka vtech killer soon.

There is so much untaped power to be had on all the SR20 motors buy changing to a intake manifold that has shorter / fater runners , and a larger surg tank the is a lot of untapped performance to be had there , this an great way to get more torque and HP out of PSI of boost .....

Does this manifold fit the hi-port SR20's without having to change intercooler piping?

The pipe that goes to the TB would now be too short and would need an extension of about 5 inches....that's the only difference.

p.s. do you like Q45's?

am I getting one of these? Wait...would it matter? lol

from what we can tell so far, it's advantages seem to come alive past 20psi with the turbo that you have........

maybe you should calm down

As is, what would the low and high PSI settings for my set up? Always calm...

what would you like?

14 and 27?

That doesn't sound bad. Can all of the manifolds you offer achieve 27 PSI or is there one in particular that needs to be purchased? If 27 PSI is the max, maybe the rage should be 14 to 24... or should the high setting be set at the max? I dont want to blow anything up.

For the high port, we offer 2.

1 is the cast one that is designed for the RWD SR. We cut it apart and change the pitch and weld it back. Believe it or not, the cost on the RWD manifold is not that much and that is why that one is cheaper. Our drag car has that one on it.

2. The other one requires a core of a stock FWD or RWD manifold for using the flange.
We use a 4inch plenum and 2 inch runners with a taper base. We have not had a customer have us dyno this one yet. I feel this one will support more power and allow more boost.

Let me know if you get one tested.

So.... what's going on with the intake issue?

Jason@JGY

which one?

Did you ever get one tested that actually makes 27 PSI on purpose? Calm down Jason...
