Imagine this scenario.....

2 B13's, (1 Se-r, stock/headers, timing, intake)(1 XE, intake, general tune-up)

1 95 Honda Civic Hatchback (1.6L Vtec, 5lbs boost, AEM crank pulley, etc, just pretty much built without internals)

Well there we were at a stop light at walmart in Galax, Se-r was beside the civic, with XE behind the civic. We began to rev up etc, and then it happened...green light! Well neck and neck we pulled off but not racing. Around 20mph, we hammered metal to metal and there we went. Se-r takes the lead drifting away from civic (woo hoo). XE right on civic (Civic just couldnt lose it). In the end civic just couldnt bare the shame. Well civic turned off and we followed feeling real cocky. The civic turns into up to Par in Galax and we pretty much rubbed it in his face. 2 witnesses, we know what the Civic was running as explained ^^^^:D

Moral of the story NISSAN=VTEC KILLER (EVEN BOOSTED)

Congrats on the kill bud....but I'm confident my hatch could handle sr's in na form....but don't tell jason he might get flustered

it can't and I have the dyno charts to prove it. Jhole made 140HP. My NA beater made 139HP. For about 2000rpms of usable power band, the SR had anywhere of 30 to 35 more HP and torque than that Honda. Even if the Honda was 400 pounds lighter, the NA tranny in the Se-r will beat it.

I've been driving Sentras for a long time and know what I am saying. Now I'm not bench racing and getting all involved with this.....and I know that there are Hondas faster than Sentras....of course.......but knowing Josh's dyno chart......I know the outcome

Also.........3 things
1. I don't mis-shift.
2. I don't make mistakes, I give them.
3. street tire vs. street tire.....I win

I would be willing to take that race any day...

It made consistent power from 0-8000rpm. no torque whatsoever though.
So if I was to even get outrun that would be the reason...its gonna take more than that

1. lets hope you dont misshift
2. my vtec will scare a mistake out of you :D
3. my taillights are beautiful

that's very true..........but alot of the races back in the day had money thrown at the guys

I hope that drag racing gets back to how it used to be back in the early 2000's

I can remember seeing deeply sponsored Civics running 10's and no sponsor Se-r's running in the 11's. Money helps alot of stuff.

money tends to follow success

I dont have much of either so what do I know

Money follows trends. The Civic being a relatively cheaply priced car with the potential for performance, aftermarket accessory makers saw an opportunity and dove on it. The engines produced for the older Civics were notoriously underpowered and pretty much required the extensive sponsorship or money to make them competitive. Not every kid who fancied themselves a "tuner" could afford the higher power and torque a Nissan engine could put out, and those in the market knew it. This is why the better parts for Nissan costs more, but there is a smaller but dedicated "niche" crowd for them.

Sorry to say brother, but being in the military money sucks. I have been in 14 years and barely make enough to cover bills. The only reason I have been able to work on mine is my wife used to work for HR Block, and I used money from deployments.
