We have been selling the BLE solid lifters for some time............thought I should explain a simple way to install them.
The BLE instructions are nice.........but generic for all applications.
1. As instructions say, loosen nut all the way and screw in pivot all the way thus making them as short as you can (we have found it beneficial to temporarily remove the lock washer as in step 4 it can become a nuisance)
2. Install them into the head and re-install all the cams and towers with rocker arms (do not install Rocker Arm Stoppers yet)
3. With everything torqued, rotate the chain so that each of the 8 lobes of your cams go to no valve compression (may only be able to do 2 at a time before rotating more)
4. Notice that the rocker arm can move with slop. Now, with a small screwdriver or a pick, rotate the nut of the BLE counter clockwise until the desired amount of gap is present between the rocker arm and the cam (what space we choose is a JGY trade secret).
5. After finished, carefully remove everything and measure each BLE with micrometers noting the individual measurements. Tighten the jam nut and re-measure to see if the size is the same. Keep trying until you achieve your desired results.
6. Re-install and re-torque. Repeat steps 3 and 4 and make sure you have the desired cam spacing. If so, clap for yourself.
